The University of Hong Kong Global South Fellowship 2026 is a funded visiting research fellowship offered through the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Hong Kong

Selected fellows may receive round trip airfare reimbursement of up to ten thousand Hong Kong dollars
Fellows will receive a daily allowance of one thousand five hundred Hong Kong dollars to help cover accommodation and living expenses
Participants will gain access to the University of Hong Kong’s research facilities and academic environment
Fellows will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading faculty members at HKU
The programme supports international research publication and academic collaboration
The fellowship helps make short term research visits to Hong Kong more accessible for scholars from the Global South
