France FIAS Fully Funded Fellowships 2027–2028 in France

The France FIAS Fellowships 2027–2028 are fully funded research fellowships offered through the French Institutes for Advanced Study.
The fellowship duration is ten months.
A total of twenty nine fellowships are available for the 2027–2028 cycle.
The programme will take place across seven Institutes for Advanced Study in France, including institutes located in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, and Nantes.
The fellowship is co funded by Horizon Europe under the Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions.
The opportunity is available for postdoctoral researchers and senior research fellows.
Applicants must hold a PhD degree and meet the required research experience conditions.
The fellowship welcomes researchers from the humanities, social sciences, arts, interdisciplinary research, cultural studies, political science, sociology, history, philosophy, economics, and related fields.
Researchers from other disciplines may also apply if their research projects align with the interdisciplinary mission of the FIAS institutes.

Applicants must hold a PhD degree.
Applicants must have at least two years of research experience after completing their PhD.
Applicants must present a strong, original, and innovative research proposal.
Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and clear research achievements.
Applicants must meet the international mobility rule.
Applicants must not have lived in France for more than twelve months during the past three years.
Applicants must be able to conduct independent research in an international academic environment.
Priority may be given to applicants with strong interdisciplinary research projects and clear potential for international collaboration.
The fellowship is open to applicants of all nationalities.

The fellowship provides a monthly living allowance of €2,200.
