Saudi Government Scholarships for International Students 2026

The Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is offering fully funded scholarships for international students in 2026 to study at 27 public universities across the Kingdom. These scholarships are part of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to education, research, and international cooperation in line with Vision 2030.

The program is open to students from around the world who wish to pursue higher education in Saudi Arabia.

Scholarship Benefits

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Aged 17–25 years for Bachelor’s and Arabic diploma programs

• Under 30 years old for Master’s degree applicants

• Under 35 years old for PhD applicants

• Academic certificates must be officially attested

• Provide a valid certificate of good conduct

• Pass a medical examination approved by the university

• Must not be holding another Saudi scholarship

• Female applicants must have a mahram (guardian) residing in the Kingdom

Application Procedure

Applicants can apply through one of the following official channels:

1. Apply directly through the university’s official website

2. Apply via the Saudi Cultural Attaché (if available in the applicant’s country)

3. Apply through the Saudi Embassy in the applicant’s country

Required Documents

Prepare the following documents before applying:

• Attested academic certificates and transcripts

• Copy of a valid passport (minimum one-year validity)

• Recommendation letters (if required)

• Certificate of good conduct (no criminal record)

• Medical fitness certificate

• Statement of purpose (for Master’s and PhD programs)

Study Visa and Residence Permit

• Upon admission, the university issues an official scholarship acceptance letter

• This letter is used to apply for a Saudi study visa

• After arrival, students receive a free residence permit (Iqama) valid throughout the study period
