Scholarship Overview:


The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship is a prestigious fully funded program offered by the Government of Hungary for international students. Established in 2013 and managed by the Tempus Public Foundation, the scholarship promotes internationalization and cultural exchange by inviting talented students worldwide to study at Hungary’s leading universities.


Hungary Government (Stipendium Hungaricum) Scholarship 2026 (Fully Funded)

Description:
This scholarship enables ambitious students to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, One-Tier Master’s, PhD, and Non-Degree programs in Hungary without financial concerns. It covers tuition, monthly stipends, accommodation, medical insurance, and travel expenses, offering a complete funding package for international students.

Degree Levels:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Programs (BA, BSc) – 2–4 years

  • Master’s Degree Programs (MA, MSc) – 1.5–2 years

  • One-Tier Master’s Programs – 5–6 years

  • Doctoral Programs (PhD) – 2–4 years

  • Non-Degree Programs – Preparatory or postgraduate specialist courses (1–2 years)

  • Health Sciences and Medicine

Scholarship Benefits:

  • Monthly Stipend: HUF 43,700 (Bachelor’s/Master’s), HUF 140,000 (PhD)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Citizen of a Stipendium Hungaricum partner country

  • Apply through the designated Sending Partner in your country

  • Hold required academic qualifications for the program

  • Submit complete application including transcripts, motivation letter, proof of language proficiency, medical certificate, etc.

  • PhD applicants must provide a research proposal and recommendation letters

  • Cannot hold dual citizenship with Hungary

  2. Confirm eligibility for country and study field

  3. Register online: Application Portal

  4. Upload required documents

  5. Submit application through your country’s Sending Partner

  6. Nominated candidates are assessed by Hungarian universities
