National Ocean Scholar Program 2026 – Position Details
The National Ocean Scholar Program provides $1,000 scholarships to selected U.S. high school seniors who have participated in the NOSB and demonstrate strong academic performance and interest in ocean sciences. The scholarship is intended to support tuition and academic development for students entering undergraduate programs in marine- or ocean-related fields, including Ocean Sciences, Marine Biology, Environmental Science, Ocean Engineering, Marine Conservation, Coastal Studies, Aquatic Science, and Marine Policy or Management.
Awardees gain recognition as National Ocean Scholars, enhancing their academic and career profiles and providing competitive distinction for future internships, research opportunities, and professional growth. Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship, participation in NOSB, and a commitment to pursuing post-secondary education in ocean-related disciplines. Applicants must submit academic transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, recommendation letters, essays, and proof of college admission.
