About the Program

The NAJA Scholarships, offered by the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries (NAJA), provide financial support to students pursuing graduate-level studies in fields that address the special needs of children and youth. Established in 1962, NAJA is the longest-running Junior Auxiliary project, dedicated to children’s welfare and community service. Each scholarship is valued at $5,000 and aims to empower students to make a meaningful impact through their education and future careers.

NAJA Scholarships 2026 – Course Details

1. Graduate-Level Scholarships

These scholarships are available for students pursuing Master’s programs or one-year advanced programs. Undergraduate and doctoral programs are not eligible.

2. Eligible Nationalities

• Must be U.S. citizens

• Permanent residents of states with an active Junior Auxiliary Chapter:

  • Alabama

  • Arkansas

  • Florida

  • Louisiana

  • Mississippi

  • Missouri

  • Tennessee

3. Eligibility Criteria

• Must pursue graduate-level studies for one year

• Field of study must focus on children and youth services

• Must be a U.S. citizen and permanent resident of a participating state

• Must plan to attend a U.S. college or university

• Required materials: academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and other documentation as requested by NAJA

4. Application Procedure

1. Confirm eligibility including citizenship, residency, degree level, and field of study

2. Prepare application materials: transcripts, letters of recommendation, personal statements

3. Submit application to the NAJA Scholarship Committee before February 1

4. Applications reviewed based on academic performance, commitment to children’s welfare, and leadership in community service

5. Successful applicants notified by the NAJA Scholarship Committee
