Goethe-Institut Travel Grants for Artists Performing in Germany
Program Overview
This grant supports music ensembles and artists from developing and transition countries who aim to participate in performances or cultural exchange projects in Germany but lack the financial means for international travel. Eligible applicants include both professional and amateur groups presenting projects with strong cultural and artistic value.
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must originate from developing or transition countries (DAC list).

Ensembles must demonstrate high musicianship.

The project must hold cultural significance and prioritize artistic exchange.

A coherent program and clear schedule are required.

Ineligible: fundraising events, tourism-focused trips, folklore-only projects, or initiatives promoting ideological, partisan, or religious agendas.

Detailed project description.

Recent audio recording (shared via link).

Brief history of the ensemble.

Full timetable and performance schedule.

Invitation from the applicant to the foreign ensemble.

Two price quotations from tour operators or online comparison sources.

Numbered participant list including role, date of birth, and place of residence.
