About the Program

The Global KU Scholarship 2026 at Korea University is a prestigious opportunity for international students seeking global academic exposure. Founded in 2005 during Korea University’s centennial celebration, the Global KU Scholarship has supported hundreds of future global leaders. Scholarship Benefits

First Semester (New Exchange Students):

• Admission Scholarship: KRW 100,000 – 1,600,000

• Travel Scholarship: KRW 100,000 – 1,500,000

Second Semester (Continuing Exchange or Visiting Students):

• Merit Scholarship: KRW 1,200,000 (based on first semester academic performance)

Note: Scholarships are available only for students participating in a one-year university-wide exchange or visiting program.

• International students from universities with an official exchange partnership with Korea University

Eligibility Criteria

• Nominated as an exchange or visiting student through a university-level agreement

• Strong academic performance at the home institution

• Demonstrated leadership potential and commitment to global engagement

• Submission of all required documents in English (or with English translations)

Application Procedure

1. Check Eligibility: Confirm your home university has a partnership with Korea University

2. Obtain Nomination: Get nominated by your home institution under the University-Level Agreement

3. Prepare Documents:

• Completed Global KU Scholarship application form

• Passport-sized photograph

• Letter of recommendation (sent directly by referee to studyabroad@korea.ac.kr)
