About the Scholarship:
The Italian Catholic Federation (ICF) First Year Scholarship is a faith-based program supporting Roman Catholic high school seniors pursuing higher education. Established in 1964, ICF has awarded over $2 million in scholarships to more than 6,000 students, promoting academic excellence, leadership, service, and Catholic values.
Undergraduate (First-Year / Incoming College Students)
Overview:
This scholarship supports first-year college students attending accredited U.S. universities, including public, private, and Catholic institutions. It covers educational expenses while promoting leadership, service, and faith-based engagement.
Eligibility:
U.S. students residing in California, Illinois, or Nevada (ICF branch regions)
Roman Catholic of Italian descent OR Roman Catholic with qualifying ICF family membership
Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.2 (over 3½ years of high school)
Demonstrated financial need
Leadership, extracurricular involvement, and family participation in ICF considered

Year 1: $500
Year 2: $600
Year 3: $700
Year 4: $1,000
Funds applied toward tuition and educational expenses
Recognition from a nationally respected Catholic organization
Encourages faith-based education and leadership development
Application Procedure:
Download and complete the ICF Scholarship Application Form.
Write a Letter of Personal Assessment.
Obtain official high school transcripts (Grade 9 through first semester of Grade 12).
