Introduction About the Organization

The Stipendium Hungaricum Program is a fully funded scholarship initiative established by the Government of Hungary and managed by the Tempus Public Foundation. Since its launch in 2013, it has aimed to promote international education, cultural exchange, and academic excellence by offering students from partner countries the opportunity to study in top Hungarian universities across a wide range of disciplines.



Course Details

The Hungary Government (Stipendium Hungaricum) Scholarship 2026–2027 offers fully funded opportunities for international students to study in Hungary. The program supports Bachelor’s, Master’s, One-Tier Master’s, PhD, and Non-Degree programs at participating universities.

Degree Levels Supported:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Programs (2–4 years)

  • Master’s Degree Programs (1.5–2 years)

  • One-Tier Master’s Programs (5–6 years)

  • Doctoral Programs (2–4 years)

  • Non-Degree Programs (1–2 years)

Available Subjects Include:
Agriculture, Environmental Science, Business, Economics, Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Medicine, Health Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, Political Science, Arts, Architecture, and Design.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • Full tuition fee exemption

  • Monthly stipend: HUF 43,700 for BA/MA students and HUF 140,000 for PhD students

  • Accommodation or housing allowance

  • Comprehensive health insurance

  • Travel reimbursement (based on partner country policies)

Eligible Nationalities:
Applicants from more than 90 partner countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Citizenship of a partner country

  • Application through designated Sending Partner

  • Required academic qualifications for the chosen program

  • Complete documentation (transcripts, motivation letter, language proof, medical certificate, etc.)

  • No dual citizenship with Hungary

  • PhD applicants must submit a research proposal and recommendation letters

Application Procedure:

  1. Choose a program on the Study Finder portal.

  2. Confirm eligibility based on your country.

  3. Register on the application portal: https://apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu

  4. Upload all required documents.

  5. Submit through the Sending Partner in your country.

  6. Nominated applicants proceed to university assessment.

  7. Final results are announced by June 2026.
