The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) annually offers fully funded scholarships for outstanding students from non-EU countries. Romania is known for its rich cultural heritage, affordable living, and high-quality higher education.

Course Details:

Degree Levels Supported: Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD
Duration:
- Bachelor’s: 3–6 years
- Master’s: 1–2 years
- PhD: 3–5 years
Language of Study:
- Bachelor & Master: Romanian only
- PhD: Romanian or another foreign language depending on the doctoral school
Available Subjects: All academic fields except Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Pharmacy
Benefits:
- Tuition fees waived for preparatory and degree program
- Monthly stipend for students
- Free dormitory accommodation (subject to availability)
- Local transport and domestic travel discounts
- Application and admission fees waived
- 30 extra days of stipend after program completion (if ≥1 year)
Eligibility:
- Non-EU citizens (excluding certain exceptions such as Romanian origin, diplomats, and existing scholarship holders)
Application Procedure:
- Apply online via Study in Romania (Link)
- Upload required documents: diplomas, transcripts, birth certificate, passport/ID, CV, and for PhD applicants: letter of intent, research project, supervisor approval
Selection: Based on academic excellence and completeness of application

Preparatory Romanian language course available for students who do not speak Romanian
