The University of Southern Denmark (SDU) offers Danish Government Scholarships for highly qualified non-EU/EEA students. These scholarships recognize the significant investment international students make in their education while promoting academic excellence in selected bachelor and master programs at SDU’s Vejle and Sønderborg campuses.

Master Programmes:

  • MSc in Electronics/Electrical Engineering

  • MSc in Mechanical Engineering

Note: Applicants eligible for the Danish State Grant cannot receive this scholarship.

Scholarship Benefits

  • Full tuition fee waiver for the program duration:

    • Bachelor: 3 years

    • Master: 2 years

  • Fee waiver covers up to 30 ECTS per semester; students must pass at least 20 ECTS per semester

Eligible Nationalities

Open to international students of all nationalities

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor Level:

  • Non-EU/EEA citizens applying for bachelor programs in Vejle

  • Admission application by March 15

  • High scores in the online admission test (uniTEST)

  • Participate in an online interview (June)

  • Priority for applicants from select countries (USA, UK, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Canada, India, Brazil, Malaysia, Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia, Albania, Ukraine, Moldova)

Master Level:

  • Non-EU/EEA citizens applying for master programs in Sønderborg

  • Admission application by February 1 with required documents

  • Online technical interview between February 19–27

  • Same country priority as bachelor programs

Selection Process

  • Bachelor: Based on uniTEST scores and online interview performance

  • Master: Based on GPA and performance in online technical interview

Application Procedure

  1. Apply for admission to the relevant bachelor or master program at SDU

  2. Upload required documents to the online portal

  3. Prepare for the online interview when invited

  4. No separate scholarship application is required; all applicants are automatically considered
