• Language: HSK 5 (Chinese programs) / IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 80, Duolingo 115 (English programs)

• CSCA test result required

5. Master’s Programs – International Students

Duration: 2.5 years, full-time, Fall intake only
Eligibility:

• Under 30 years old by 1 Sep 2026

• Bachelor’s degree

• Minimum GPA: 75% (80% for CSC applicants)

• Language: HSK5 (Chinese), IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL 90 / Duolingo 120 / PTE 60 (English)

6. PhD Programs – International Students

• Under 35 years old by 1 Sep 2026

• Master’s degree obtained

• Minimum GPA: 75% (80% for CSC applicants)

• Language: HSK5 (Chinese), IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL 90 / Duolingo 120 / PTE 60 (English)

7. Required Documents (All Programs)

• Valid passport

• Personal statement, CV, optional talent video

• Bank statement: USD 5000

• Physical examination form

• Police clearance certificate

• Portfolio (Architecture & Design applicants)

8. Application & Selection Procedure

1. Prepare all required documents

2. Register online: admission.nwpu.edu.cn

3. Upload documents and pay 600 RMB (90 USD) application fee

4. University review and school-level evaluation

5. Interview/test (7–10 days after each round)

6. Initial fee payment: 3000 RMB (Level 1/2), 50% tuition advance (Level 3/self-funded)

7. Receive Admission Letter & JW202 form

8. Complete online registration (early August) and on-campus registration (late August – early September)

9. Obtain X1 visa for China

9. Tuition & Living Support

• Tuition fee waiver (depending on scholarship level)

• Accommodation fee waiver (Level 1 only)

• Monthly allowance (Level 1 only)

10. Application Notes
