The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship is a prestigious program offered by the Hungarian government to attract outstanding international students to pursue higher education in Hungary. Course 2: Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Overview
Degree Levels

Bachelor’s: 2–4 years

Master’s: 1–2 years

One-tier Master’s: 5–6 years

Non-degree programs: 1 year (Hungarian preparatory course)

Doctoral programs: 8 semesters (4 training/research + 4 dissertation)
Scholarship Benefits
Bachelor’s, Master’s, One-tier Master’s, Non-degree Programs:

Tuition-fee exemption (full free education)

Monthly stipend: 43,700 HUF (~110 EUR) for 12 months

Accommodation support: free dormitory placement or 40,000 HUF/month (~100 EUR)

Health insurance according to Hungarian law with additional coverage up to 65,000 HUF/year (~165 EUR)
Doctoral Programs:

Monthly stipend: Phase 1: 140,000 HUF (~355 EUR), Phase 2: 180,000 HUF (~460 EUR)

Important Note: Students are responsible for additional living costs beyond the provided stipend.
Eligibility Criteria

Academic excellence in previous studies

Language proficiency certificate (English or Hungarian)

Required documents: motivation letter, academic transcripts, research plan (for Doctoral applicants), recommendation letter, passport/ID, and medical certificate (for final acceptance)
