About the Program

The Global Leadership Challenge (GLC) 2025 is a joint initiative by the University of Oxford and the St. Gallen Symposium, designed to empower a new generation of responsible young leaders. The program focuses on sustainability, innovation, and responsible leadership through collaborative, real-world challenges.

Participants will gain hands-on experience addressing global issues while receiving mentorship and leadership training.


Program Details

  • Number of participants: 100 young leaders from around the world

  • Duration: 5 intensive days (11–15 December 2025)

  • Format: Virtual participation possible from anywhere in the world

  • Experience: Includes character-building sessions, intergenerational dialogues, and impactful projects

  • Schwarz Group Challenge: “Sustainable Living at Scale” — developing innovative, accessible, and sustainable solutions for everyday life.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program or a young professional aged 21–30

  • Completed undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree

  • Demonstrated commitment to responsible leadership through extracurricular activities or work experience

  • Full participation in all five half-day sessions (11–15 December 2025) is mandatory

Application Requirements

  1. Personal Information: Address, email, contact details

  2. Documents:

    • Curriculum Vitae (CV – PDF)

    • Recent portrait photo (JPEG/PNG)

    • Proof of enrollment (for students – PDF)

  3. Questions & Tasks:

    • Suggest a keynote speaker to inspire global leaders

    • Record a 40-second video (English) inspiring responsible leadership

    • Provide one concrete example (max. 50 words) of personal responsible leadership

  • Upload your video to Google Drive, OneDrive, YouTube (Unlisted), iCloud, Swisstransfer, or Dropbox

  • Copy the shareable link ensuring anyone with the link can view
