Sweden University of Gothenburg Axel Adler Scholarship 2026

The Axel Adler Scholarship 2026 is a competitive tuition fee waiver granted to exceptional international students pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees at the University of Gothenburg. The scholarship aims to attract academically strong applicants who demonstrate motivation and potential to excel in their chosen programs.

Degree Level

  • Bachelor’s degree programs

  • Master’s degree programs

Available Subjects

The scholarship applies to all international Master’s programs and selected Bachelor’s programs, including:

  • Software Engineering

  • International Relations

  • Business and Economics

  • BFA Program in Metal Art

  • BFA Program in Wood Oriented Furniture Design

  • BFA Program in Craft with Specialisation in Crafting Futures

Benefits

  • Full tuition fee waiver for the entire study period

    • Up to 120 credits (2 years) for Master’s programs

    • Up to 180 credits (3 years) for Bachelor’s programs

  • FAS+ insurance coverage during the stay in Sweden

  • Please note: living expenses, accommodation, and travel costs are not included

Eligible Nationalities

Open to international students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be required to pay tuition fees in Sweden

  • Apply through universityadmissions.se for an international program as first priority by 15 January 2026

  • Submit all required documents and pay the application fee by 2 February 2026

  • Receive an email invitation to apply for the scholarship between 10–28 February 2026

  • Provide a CV and a Motivation Letter (maximum 3000 characters each)

  • Demonstrate academic excellence and strong motivation relevant to the chosen program

Application Procedure

  1. Apply for an eligible international program by 15 January 2026

  2. Pay the application fee and verify your documents by 2 February 2026

  3. Await an email invitation to apply for the scholarship (around 10 February 2026)

  4. Submit your CV and Motivation Letter by 28 February 2026

  5. Scholarship results:

    • 8 April 2026 for Master’s applicants

    • 14 April 2026 for Bachelor’s applicants
