Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme (HKSES) 2026–2027
The Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme (HKSES) is a prestigious initiative by the Hong Kong Government to support high-achieving students in pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degrees at top global universities. Established in 2014, the scheme has supported more than 1,000 exceptional students, empowering them with global exposure and leadership development.
The program allows Hong Kong permanent residents to study full-time abroad, covering a variety of disciplines at internationally recognized institutions.
For the 2026/27 cycle, applications close on December 31, 2025 (6 pm).

Application Procedure

Select eligible overseas programs.

Prepare documents (transcripts, exam results, personal statement, study plan, proof of applications/offers, recommendation letters).

Submit application through the HKSES online portal.

Attend interview if shortlisted.

Receive award decision.
