About the Institution (Harvard University – I Tatti Center)

The Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies, known as I Tatti, is a premier international research center located in Florence, Italy. The center supports advanced scholarship on the Italian Renaissance and its global connections while providing an exceptional academic environment for postdoctoral and mid-career researchers. Each year, I Tatti hosts scholars from around the world, offering access to Harvard’s research resources, dedicated workspaces, and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.


Harvard University I Tatti Fellowships 2026–2027 (Fully Funded)

This fully funded fellowship program offers scholars the opportunity to conduct advanced research on topics related to the Italian Renaissance, its global interactions, and its lasting influence. Fellows are hosted at Villa I Tatti in Florence and gain access to Harvard’s extensive academic resources, collaborative networks, and research support.

Fellowship Duration: 4 to 12 months
Available Subjects: Renaissance Studies, Art History, Cultural Exchange

Eligibility Criteria:
– Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent terminal degree
– Research must relate to the Italian Renaissance or global cultural exchanges
– Open to scholars of all nationalities
– Some programs target early- or mid-career scholars

Application Procedure:

– Select the fellowship program
– Prepare required documents (research proposal, CV, writing samples, recommendations)
