About Global Leadership Challenge (GLC) 2025

The Global Leadership Challenge (GLC) is a joint initiative by the University of Oxford and the St. Gallen Symposium, designed to empower the next generation of responsible young leaders worldwide. The program focuses on developing leadership skills, tackling global challenges, and promoting sustainability through collaboration and mentorship.

GLC 2025 invites 100 participants to work on real-world challenges in an intensive five-day program held virtually from 11–15 December 2025. Participants will engage in character-building sessions, intergenerational dialogues, and project development using design thinking principles.


Program Highlights

  • Duration: 5 days (11–15 December 2025)

  • Format: Online/virtual participation from anywhere in the world

  • Participants: 100 selected young leaders globally

  • Experience: Work on pressing global challenges, including:

    • Schwarz Group Challenge: “Sustainable Living at Scale” – develop innovative solutions for healthier and more sustainable lifestyles accessible to millions of customers.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program or a young professional aged 21–30

  • Completed undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree

  • Demonstrated commitment to responsible leadership via work or extracurricular activities

  • Full participation during the five program half-days is mandatory to receive a certificate

  • Open to applicants from all disciplines and countries

Questions / Tasks:

  1. Suggest a keynote speaker for global leadership inspiration

  2. Record a short video (max. 40 seconds) inspiring responsible leadership

  3. Provide one concrete example (max. 50 words) of personal responsible leadership practice

Submission:
Upload your video to Google Drive, OneDrive, YouTube (Unlisted), iCloud, Swisstransfer, or Dropbox and provide a shareable link. Ensure the link allows anyone to view without login.
