About École Normale Supérieure (ENS)
The French École Normale Supérieure (ENS) is one of Europe’s most prestigious higher education institutions, known for its academic excellence and contribution to world-class research in sciences, arts, and humanities. The ENS International Selection Program offers a fully funded scholarship for outstanding international students wishing to pursue Master’s programs or the third year of a Bachelor’s degree. Scholars benefit from complete tuition coverage, a monthly stipend, and accommodation, as well as access to France’s top research networks and academic communities.
Master’s Scholarship Overview
ENS provides two academic tracks under this program — Arts & Humanities Track and Sciences Track. Each offers a rigorous, multidisciplinary approach combining academic coursework, research training, and cultural immersion in Paris.
General Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be under 26 years old by December 1, 2025.

Must not have applied to ENS International Selection before.

Should not have lived in France for more than 10 months during the selection year or the year before.

Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies outside France by September 1, 2026.

In exceptional cases, non-traditional academic backgrounds may be accepted upon Director’s approval.
Funding and Benefits

Full tuition fee coverage for the entire program.

Monthly stipend of €1,000 for three years.

Arts & Humanities Track

After Admission
Admitted students receive an official invitation, visa certificate, and administrative instructions. They must obtain a long-stay student visa, prepare required documents, and attend French language courses before registration.
