The Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship (AGES) is a prestigious award recognizing outstanding academic achievement of graduate students pursuing master’s or doctoral studies at the University of Alberta. Eligibility Criteria:

Full-time enrollment for Fall 2025 and/or Winter 2026

Alberta residency during enrollment

AGES Student Declaration Form affirming Alberta residency

GPA of 3.3 or higher or equivalent academic achievements

Research, publications, presentations, performances, or community engagement
-
Enrollment in years 1–4 of a master’s program or years 1–6 of a doctoral program

Previous AGES recipients are not eligible
Application Procedure:

Faculty nomination required; students cannot apply directly

Submit AGES Student Declaration Form to faculty by internal faculty deadline

Faculties review and nominate candidates to Graduate Program Services (GPS)

GPS verifies eligibility and notifies recipients

Contact faculty for internal selection results
