Brazil Government PEC-PG Postgraduate Scholarship 2026 (Fully Funded)
About the Program
The Postgraduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-PG) is an international scholarship initiative by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (CAPES), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). It aims to promote academic cooperation between Brazil and partner countries by offering fully funded opportunities for international students to pursue postgraduate degrees at Brazilian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
Scholarship Overview
The PEC-PG scholarship supports Master’s and PhD studies, including short-term Sandwich PhD research in Brazil. It is open to students from developing countries with educational cooperation agreements with Brazil.
Degree Levels

Eligible Nationalities

Eligibility Criteria

Citizenship of countries with cooperation agreements with Brazil

Valid undergraduate degree for Master’s applications, or Master’s degree for PhD applications

Proof of proficiency in Portuguese (courses taught in Portuguese)

Application Procedure

Prepare required documents: application form, HEI acceptance letter, research proposal, CV, and supporting documents
