Details:

  • Fully funded scholarship for international students from Asian countries studying in Tokyo, Japan.

  • Supports students enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, or Junior College programs.

  • Provides a monthly stipend: ¥150,000 for PhD, ¥120,000 for Master’s, ¥100,000 for Bachelor’s/Junior College students.

  • Funding period: up to 2 years (1 year for junior college students).

  • No tuition exemption, enrollment, or examination fee reduction; purely stipend-based support.

  • Highly competitive; university nomination is required—individual applications are not accepted.

  • Selection based on academic performance, recommendation by university president or dean, and interview conducted in Japanese.

  • Approximately 40–50 students selected annually.

  • Open to students from any academic discipline.

  • Must reside in Tokyo during the scholarship period.
