About Stipendium Hungaricum
The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program 2026-27, launched by the Hungarian Government, offers fully funded opportunities for Pakistani and AJ&K nationals to pursue higher education in Hungary. Coordinated through the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, the program provides scholarships for Bachelor’s, One-Tier Master’s (OTM), Master’s, and PhD degrees at top Hungarian universities. The program aims to promote international education and strengthen educational ties between Hungary and Pakistan.

Eligibility: Pakistani or AJ&K nationals, minimum age 18 by 31 August 2026.

Bachelor’s applicants must have completed Intermediate/HSSC; Master’s applicants a 16-year Bachelor’s; PhD applicants MS/MPhil.

HAT or USAT score (minimum 50%) required.

IELTS/TOEFL may be required by some universities; otherwise, an English Proficiency Certificate is acceptable.

Dual nationality applicants are not eligible.

Application procedure requires both Hungarian and HEC portals submissions.

Required documents include: Online Application Form, recent photograph, motivation letter, educational certificates and transcripts, proof of language proficiency, passport/National ID, transcript of records, and statement of application.

PhD applicants must additionally submit a research plan (minimum 2 pages), letter of recommendation, and supervisor statement if required.

Application Deadline: 15 January 2026, 16:00 PM (Pakistan Standard Time).

HAT/USAT test registration begins 8 December 2025; test held on 1 February 2026.
