The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program 2026–2027 at the University of Toronto is a fully funded graduate-level scholarship designed to empower talented African students committed to driving positive social and economic change in their home countries. Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:

Be citizens and current residents of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Be under 35 years old.

Have graduated (or be graduating) from a partner institution.

Demonstrate strong academic performance and leadership skills.

Meet the admission requirements for the chosen master’s program.

Commit to returning home to contribute to Africa’s development after graduation.
Application Process:
The process includes three main steps:
Step 1 – Review Program Requirements:

Step 2 – Apply for the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship:
Register for an information session and submit the online scholarship application by Monday, November 3, 2025 (12:00 PM Toronto time).
Step 3 – Apply for Graduate Admission:
Once conditionally approved, complete your official application through the University of Toronto School of Graduate Studies (SGS) online portal.
