1. CAS-ANSO Master’s and PhD Scholarship in China 2026 | Fully Funded

About the Organization:
ANSO (Alliance of National and International Science Organizations) in collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) offers this fully funded scholarship to support outstanding international students pursuing Master’s or PhD degrees in China. The scholarship covers tuition, living expenses, health insurance, travel, and visa fees, providing students a chance to study at top institutions in China such as USTC, UCAS, and CAS institutes.


Scholarship Overview:

  • Level: Master’s and PhD programs

  • Host Institutions: University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), CAS institutes across China

  • Number of Scholarships: 100–200 for Master’s; 300 for PhD annually

  • Funding: Full tuition, monthly stipend (3,000–7,000 CNY), health insurance, travel, and visa coverage

  • Application Opening Date: October 15, 2025

  • Application Deadline: January 31, 2026

Eligibility:

  • International students (non-Chinese citizens)

  • Master’s applicants: under 30 years old; PhD applicants: under 35 years old

  • Hold recognized previous degrees

  • Language proficiency: English or Chinese depending on program

Required Documents:

  • Valid passport

  • Research proposal (minimum 800 words)

  • CV and two recommendation letters

  • Foreigner Physical Examination Form

  • HSK certificate for Chinese-taught programs / IELTS or TOEFL for English-taught programs

  • Academic transcripts and degree certificates

  • Environmental Sciences

  • Natural Sciences: physics, chemistry, biology

  • Technology and Engineering: electrical, mechanical, computer engineering

  • Medical Sciences: biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences

Study Requirements:

  • Complete centralized training in Chinese language and culture

  • Complete required academic credits and practical research

  • Prepare a thesis at host institutions

  • Comply with Chinese laws and host university regulations
