Scholarship Details
The scholarship plan offers three distinguished programs: The Amiri Scholarship Programme for top graduates, the Abroad Scholarship Programme covering studies in the USA, UK, Canada, Japan, Australia and more, and the Local Scholarship Programme including the Tomouh initiative for study in Qatar’s most reputable universities such as those in Education City. These programs open doors to bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and diploma-level studies across medicine, engineering, computer science, health sciences, applied sciences, professional diplomas, sports and creative industries.
Eligibility
Applicants must be Qatari nationals holding at least a high school diploma or higher qualification. They must meet the academic performance standards required and select from the approved universities and disciplines set by the program.
Benefits
The Qatar Government Scholarships offer generous financial support tailored to each program. Amiri Scholarship and Medicine Abroad students receive between QAR 8,000 and 12,000 per month, a QAR 40,000 pre-travel grant, and two annual business-class tickets, with study years counted toward national service. General Abroad Scholarship recipients benefit from a monthly allowance of QAR 8,000, a QAR 6,000 travel stipend, a QAR 25,000 pre-travel bonus, and annual flight tickets. Local Scholarships provide QAR 10,000 monthly for medicine and education fields, QAR 8,000 for engineering, computer science, and health sciences, QAR 6,000 for applied sciences and arts, and QAR 4,000 for professional diplomas.
