Degree Level and Available Fields
Aalto University offers two-year Master’s programs in three broad academic areas, allowing students to tailor their studies to their passions and career goals. In Art and Design, students pursue the Master of Arts degree exploring creativity, culture, and innovation. In Business and Economics, the Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration develops leaders ready to shape the global economy. In Technology and Engineering, students can pursue Master of Science degrees in Technology, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture, advancing expertise in engineering, design, and sustainable solutions. Applicants may apply for up to two programs within one admission round

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree equivalent to 180 ECTS credits or at least three years of full-time study, eligible for master’s studies in the awarding country. Proof of English language proficiency through IELTS, TOEFL, or other accepted tests is required. Candidates may apply even if they have not yet graduated, provided they complete their degree by 31 July 2026. All documents, including transcripts, proof of language proficiency, identification, and motivation letters, must be uploaded to the Studyinfo.fi portal before 9 January 2026
Scholarship and Financial Support
Aalto University Excellence Scholarship offers tuition fee waivers to the most outstanding fee-paying students, recognizing exceptional academic achievement and potential. Scholarships are based on academic merit and evaluation results, granted only to students required to pay tuition fees. While the scholarship covers tuition, living expenses are not included — students should budget approximately €800 per month for accommodation, food, and other costs. Admission and scholarship results are released together and are final under Finnish law
Tuition and Application Details
An application fee of €100 applies to non-EU/EEA citizens. Tuition fees are required for students from outside the EU, EEA, or Switzerland who apply to English-taught programs. However, students holding specific residence permits such as a permanent (type P), continuous (type A), long-term EU (type P-EU), or EU Blue Card are exempt, as are family members of EU citizens residing in Finland

Prepare your degree certificate, transcript, proof of English proficiency, ID, motivation letter, and any program-specific documents such as portfolios or GMAT/GRE scores. Ensure all files are uploaded in color PDF format before the deadline of 9 January 2026.
