Available Graduate Assistantship Positions

Facilities Graduate Assistant provides leadership in managing Jesse Owens North and South Recreation Centers, North Recreation Center, and Adventure Recreation Center, handling facility operations, purchasing, event supervision, and student staff management.
Special Events Graduate Assistant coordinates nearly 600 annual events at the Recreation and Physical Activity Center, including tournaments, banquets, meetings, and reservations.
Member Services Graduate Assistant oversees 120+ student staff at the RPAC Welcome Center, Sport Shop, and access control operations.

Eligible Graduate Programs

Master of Science in Kinesiology, Sport Management
Master of Arts in Educational Studies, Higher Education and Student Affairs
These programs equip students with the academic knowledge and practical skills necessary for careers in sport management, higher education, recreation, fitness, and student services.

Benefits

Graduate Assistants receive a 9-month stipend of approximately $2,682 per month, full tuition waiver for all students, and potential summer employment opportunities. They gain valuable leadership and professional development experience in recreation and sports management.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be admitted to Ohio State University Graduate School in one of the approved programs, hold a minimum 3.0 GPA, and submit a complete application including a resume and cover letter. Applications from other graduate programs are not considered. All nationalities are welcome to apply.
