Who Can Apply
DAR scholarships are available for students pursuing undergraduate degrees, master’s programs, and professional or doctoral studies including medicine, nursing, occupational and physical therapy, and law. Students from a wide range of academic disciplines are encouraged to apply including history, political science, economics, law, medicine, nursing, teacher education, chemistry, math, science, and English. Special programs are also available for American Indian students.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and either plan to attend or already be enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university. Required documents include transcripts, two to four letters of recommendation, proof of U.S. citizenship, a personal essay of 1,000 words or less outlining career goals, and a one-page resume detailing activities, honors, and volunteer work. Certain scholarships may have additional requirements such as DAR membership or proof of American Indian heritage.
