Programme Overview:

The MSc Environmental Governance (MEG) programme is an interdisciplinary Master's degree that focuses on the integration of environmental science, policy, and governance. It prepares graduates to design and implement sustainable solutions at various levels, and the programme is conducted entirely in English.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

 1. A Bachelor’s degree completed within the last 6 years (before October 2025).

 2. At least 2 years of relevant professional experience post-graduation (volunteering/internships not accepted).

 3. A strong academic record (top third of class).

 4. Must not have resided in Germany for more than 15 months prior to the application.

 5. Must demonstrate a genuine need for a second Master’s degree (if already holding one).

 6. Must meet the MEG programme admission criteria and DAAD requirements.

Note: Academic research or teaching roles are generally not considered valid work experience for this scholarship, except in exceptional cases.

 3. Letter of Motivation (max 2 pages)

 4. CV in Europass format

 5. Transcript of Records

 8. Two Recommendation Letters (one from current employer, one from an academic supervisor)

 9. English Language Certificate (TOEFL iBT min. 95, IELTS Band 7, etc.)

 10. Signed DAAD Checklist

 11. APS Certificate (for applicants from China, India, Vietnam; can be submitted later)
