ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

The Amiri Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship offered by UDST. It reflects the vision of H.H. the Amir to promote excellence in education and foster creativity and innovation in science and technology. The scholarship is open to both Qatari residents and international students, enabling them to pursue applied fields of study at UDST while experiencing Qatar’s multicultural society.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To qualify for the Amiri Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

 1. Academic Profile:

 * High school graduation certificate (or equivalent) approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education with a minimum average of 90%.

 * Completion of final-year Math, Science (Chemistry/Biology/Physics), and other program-specific requirements with a minimum score of 90%.

 * Applicants must have graduated high school in the same or previous year of the scholarship application.

 2. Standardized Test Requirements:

 * English Proficiency:

 * IELTS: Overall band of 7.0 (no individual band below 6.5) – Valid for 2 years.

 * SAT (English): Evidence-Based Reading and Writing – Minimum score of 550 – Valid for 3 years.

 * TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 95 (no score below 22) – Valid for 2 years.

 * Mathematics:

 * SAT: Minimum score of 550 – Valid for 3 years.

 * ACT: Minimum score of 22 – Valid for 3 years.

 3. Extra-Curricular Achievements:

 * Participation in activities such as certifications, competitions, Olympiads, and leadership roles (e.g., Student Council President).

 * Awards and outreach program involvement.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applications are accepted online for both domestic and international students. The following information and documents are required:

 1. Personal Information.

 2. Academic Background.

 3. University Details (Student ID#/Program applied to).

 4. Personal Statement (1 page).

Required Documents:

 * Copy of Qatari ID (if applicable) and Passport.

 * High school graduation certificate (approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education).

 * Official standardized test scores (English and Math).

 * Proof of extra-curricular achievements.

 * Two academic reference letters.

 * For international students: High school transcript attested by official authorities of the home country.


SCHOLARSHIP MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS

 1. Recipients must meet the minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) and credit requirements.

 2. Continuous full-time registration is required (Fall and Winter semesters).

 3. No study gaps or deferrals are allowed without prior approval.

 4. Adherence to UDST’s academic regulations, policies, and procedures is mandatory.
