Explanation of volunteer work tasks in Germany:

The organization acts as the main coordinator of the European Solidarity Programme, coordinating the application and orientation process for volunteers who come to Jena every year. Volunteers participate in daily activities in kindergartens, youth centres or sports clubs. They also get the opportunity to organize their own projects. The programme aims to enhance social and professional skills, and build intercultural capacities.

Duration of volunteering:

12 months

Training while volunteering:

  • Work 30 to 35 hours per week, with 2 days off per month.
  • Organizing an "orientation month" to get to know life in Jena.
  • Intercultural training and workshops.
  • Get a Youthpass certificate at the end of the program.
