Job Description:

To be successful as a procurement agent, you must be able to critically evaluate suppliers, products, and services, and negotiate the best deals possible. Ultimately, a great procurement officer has a sharp business sense and maintains accurate transaction records.

Responsibilities of the Procurement Officer:

• Research suppliers, goods, and services, and compare them.
• Choose the most suitable suppliers based on reliability, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
• Request cost proposals and negotiate contracts and prices.
• Prepare and process purchase orders.
• Maintain records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
• Schedule and verify delivery of purchases.
• Build and maintain long-term positive relationships with suppliers.
