Program Overview
The Vienna Biocenter Summer School 2025 offers outstanding students a fully funded research opportunity in life sciences at one of Europe’s leading research centers. The program spans 9 weeks, providing participants with the chance to conduct advanced research under the supervision of top scientists in a dynamic and innovative scientific environment.Participants will work on cutting-edge projects in fields such as molecular biology, neuroscience, bioinformatics, immunology, RNA, stem cells, and biochemistry. They will gain practical experience through laboratory work, scientific meetings, and journal clubs while enjoying Vienna’s cultural and social activities.
The program also allows participants to experience state-of-the-art research infrastructure and build international connections through networking events, workshops, and cultural engagements.

Selected participants will receive the following benefits:- Free accommodation throughout the program, including a modern room with a private bathroom and shared kitchen.
- A €1,400 stipend for 9 weeks.

Eligibility
Applicants must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies by June 30, 2025, and meet one of the following criteria:- Be in the third year of a Bachelor's or Bachelor's Honours degree (4 years) in life sciences.
- Be in the fourth year of a Bachelor's Honours degree with plans to apply for a Master's program (verification required).
- Be in the first year of a Master's program (2 years) in life sciences.
- Be in the second year of an American undergraduate degree in life sciences.
- Be in the second year of a Bachelor of Technology degree (4 years) in life sciences (India).
