Enhance Your Teaching with Ulster University’s PG Cert in Higher Education Practice 2026

An Invitation to Reflect and Grow

This professional learning programme is specially tailored for university educators actively involved in teaching or supporting learning. Guided by Advance HE standards, it enriches your ability to deliver inclusive, student-centered learning and enables recognition through the Fellowship system.

What to Expect from the Programme

Over 18 months—from September 2025 to January 2027—you’ll participate in expert-led full‑day modules and weekly Wednesday sessions. Learning is deeply integrated with your own teaching environment, as mentorship and peer review support reflective practice. Graduates earn nationally recognised Fellowship status that enhances credibility and career development. For those not eligible for the full course, the initial module is available independently to achieve Associate Fellowship.

Who Should Apply

Open exclusively to Ulster University staff engaged in a teaching or learner‑support role, participants must commit to at least 25 hours of practical involvement per module and hold a contract extending to at least February 2026 for Module 1 or February 2027 for the full certificate.

Recognitions and Professional Benefits

Successfully completing the full certificate grants the award of Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Those completing only Module 1 may qualify for Associate Fellowship (AFHEA). Both credentials are internationally recognised marks of excellence in academic practice.

Important Timeline

The programme launches in September 2025 and concludes in January 2027. Scholarships or tuition details—for Ulster staff—are accessible via the CPPE portal and university learning enhancement offices.
