Advance Your Cancer Research with the Cancer Foundation Finland Research Grant Scholarship 2025

Scholarship Overview

• Funding available for one, two, or three-year research projects
• Three major grants of €450,000 each are awarded for exceptional research spanning three years
• Dissertation grants of €4,000 are available to support PhD students working on cancer-related topics

Eligibility Criteria

• Research projects must be clearly connected to cancer or cancer-related areas such as prevention, detection, treatment, or rehabilitation
• Open to senior researchers and doctoral candidates actively engaged in cancer research
• Only one application per applicant is permitted
• Applicants must have properly reported any previous funding received from the Cancer Foundation Finland
• Researchers or teams funded by the tobacco industry are not eligible

Application Requirements

• A concise research protocol (maximum five pages) including references
• List of principal researcher’s publications from the last decade
• Study protocol or synopsis for clinical interventional studies, if applicable
• Time commitment details for the principal researcher and team members
• Curriculum vitae of the principal researcher and key team members
• Ethical considerations relevant to the research project
• Description of the expected societal impact of the research

Important Dates

• Application period: June 2 to August 20, 2025
• Deadline: August 20, 2025 (applications submitted after this date will not be considered)
• Grant decisions will be announced in November 2025
