Why This Scholarship Inspires Change

The AfOx Graduate Scholarship is built to nurture Africa’s future leaders. It goes beyond tuition and living support by offering leadership development, peer networks, and long-term mentorship—rooted in a shared vision of advancing Africa’s development.

What the Scholarship Covers

Recipients receive full MBA tuition at Oxford Saïd and a living stipend of at least £20,780 to support housing, travel, and study materials. The package includes return flights, settling-in orientation, and access to tailored leadership training, mentorship, and a high-caliber professional network

Who Is Eligible

Open exclusively to citizens of African countries who reside in Africa, applicants must demonstrate commitment to the continent’s prosperity. Admission to Oxford's MBA program is required for scholarship consideration. No separate scholarship form is needed—eligible candidates applying to the MBA are automatically considered.

Important Dates

The application deadline for both the MBA and scholarship consideration is 7 January 2026. Scholarship offers are granted alongside conditional admission to the MBA program

Opportunity Beyond the Classroom

Scholarship recipients join the Skoll-AfOx Leadership & Impact Programme, engage in peer learning, coaching, and strategic frameworks for social innovation. After graduation, fellows have the chance to engage in a 4–6 month Ubuntu Service placement in Africa, supporting real-world impact in local initiatives.

How the Application Works

Submit your MBA application via Oxford Saïd’s portal and indicate interest in the AfOx Scholarship. Prepare standard materials including a CV, transcripts, GMAT/GRE scores, English proficiency evidence, references, and a personal statement. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview.
