Applicants must hold foreign nationality and a valid passport with good health and conduct. Undergraduates should be under 30 with a high school diploma. Doctoral candidates should be under 40 with a master’s degree and two recommendation letters Language proficiency is required: Chinese-taught programs need an HSK certificate; English-taught programs require IELTS, TOEFL, GRE or equivalent . Other prerequisites include academic excellence, no criminal record, and no concurrent scholarships

Benefits
Type A scholarships cover full tuition (no monthly stipend). Type B cover half tuition (no stipend). Type C provide a one-time grant of 4,500 RMB. Additionally, recipients may receive accommodation on campus, medical insurance, and in some cases stipends up to 31,000 RMB per year
