Why EMBL Matters
EMBL is a globally recognized intergovernmental research institution with six major European sites. It offers fast access to cutting-edge infrastructure, training seminars, and rich intellectual communities operating at the forefront of molecular life science. Fellows are supported to develop scientific independence, interdisciplinary thinking, and international collaboration
How to Begin
Contact potential EMBL host group leaders to discuss project ideas tailored to EMBL’s research strengths. For ARISE², prepare a technology‑development proposal aligned with service goals. For EIPOD‑LinC, develop an interdisciplinary project spanning at least two EMBL teams or partner institutions. For Stanford‑EMBL Bridging, co-develop proposals with supervisors from both organizations. Visitor fellowships require host confirmation and application via EMBL’s visitor programme portal
