Lead Climate Action from the Heart of Yale – Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship 2026
This transformative fellowship convenes 16 professionals from Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and the Caribbean, representing sectors like government, journalism, finance, civil society, renewable energy, education, law, and entrepreneurship. Over five months, fellows deepen technical knowledge, refine leadership skills, and build a global climate network—preparing them to drive sustainable change in their home regions.
Fellowship Details
Kicking off with a week at Yale University in New Haven from February 16 to 20, 2026, the program transitions into remote learning from March through June and culminates in a closing week in Paris from June 15 to 19. All expenses for travel, accommodation, logistics, and daily allowances throughout the in-person phases are fully covered.
Eligibility
The fellowship welcomes professionals from developing countries in the Global South who have between five to ten years of experience with demonstrable achievements in climate or clean energy work. Fluency in English is essential. Selected applicants must participate fully in both in-person residencies and remote learning journeys.
Ideal fellows are recognized contributors in their fields, motivated to create impact, ready to grow into global leaders, and eager to engage with peers and institutions across borders.
