KAUST provides a comprehensive fellowship package to all admitted graduate students:

  • Full Tuition Fees: Coverage for the entire duration of the program.
  • Annual Living Allowance: Between USD 20,000 and USD 30,000, based on degree level and academic progress.
  • On-Campus Housing: Including basic facilities, estimated at USD 7,000 per year.
  • Comprehensive Medical and Health Insurance: Valued at approximately USD 1,450 per year.
  • Relocation Support: Assistance with visa, airfare, and settling-in allowance.
  • Total Fellowship Value: Estimated between USD 70,000 and USD 80,000 per year.

 Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for admission and the KAUST Fellowship, applicants must:

  • Academic Qualifications:

    • For M.S. programs: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, mathematics, physical, chemical, or biological sciences).

    • For Ph.D. programs: A Master's degree in a relevant field.

  • English Proficiency:

    • Minimum TOEFL iBT score of 79 or IELTS score of 6.5.

    • Exemptions may apply for applicants holding degrees from accredited institutions in English-speaking countries.

  • Recommendation Letters:

    • Three letters of recommendation from professors or academic supervisors familiar with the applicant's research and academic potential.
