 Scholarship Overview

 Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the DAAD EPOS scholarship, applicants must:

  • Hold a university degree obtained within the last 6 years (as of October 2025)
  • Have at least 2 years of professional experience after completing their bachelor's degree (internships and voluntary work are not accepted)
  • Demonstrate academic performance within the top third of their graduating class
  • Not have resided in Germany for more than 15 months prior to application
  • If already holding a master's degree, justify the need for another master's degree

 Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents:

  • DAAD application form (with date of issue)
  • Motivation letter (up to 2 pages)
  • Curriculum Vitae (EUROPASS format)
  • University transcripts and degree certificates
  • Certificates of at least 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Letter of recommendation from current employer
  • Letter of recommendation from a university professor or academic supervisor
  • Proof of English proficiency (minimum TOEFL iBT 95, IELTS 7.0, or equivalent)
  • DAAD checklist signed by hand
  • APS certificate (mandatory only for applicants from China, India, and Vietnam)

Application Timeline

  • Application Period: July 1 to October 15, 2025 (for Winter Semester 2026/27)
  • Preliminary Eligibility Assessment (OEA): Optional online questionnaire to confirm eligibility
  • Notification of Preliminary Results: By end of January 2026
  • Interviews for Shortlisted Candidates: February 2026
  • Final Admission Results: Mid-February 2026
