Eligibility
Open to both international and domestic students who either apply for or are already enrolled in a research-based Master’s or PhD at the University of Melbourne. Academic excellence, research potential, and compliance with English proficiency requirements are expected. Applicants should not have held prior full research scholarships from UMelb at the same levelBenefits
Full tuition fee offset for the duration of the research degree with up to two years for Master’s by Research students or up to four years for PhD candidates. A generous living stipend of approximately AUD 37,000–43,500 per year (indexed annually) is provided. Relocation grants vary by origin—AUD 2,000 for those relocating from other Australian states, AUD 3,000 for those coming from outside Australia. International students also receive Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Single Membership and limited paid sick, maternity, or parental leave.↚
