Details

  • Hosted by the University of Bonn (Germany), this fellowship supports visits of up to 12 days during 2026.
  • Applications open on May 29, 2025; the deadline is September 22, 2025 at 17:00 CET. Results will be shared by early December 2025; fellowship visits must begin and end between January 1 and December 31, 2026. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a postdoctoral scholar or senior researcher currently working at an academic institution outside of Germany.
  • Possess a strong international academic reputation in your field.
  • Fellowships are granted only via nomination by University of Bonn faculty (hosts)—individual applications are not accepted.
  • Preference is given to researchers from strategic partner institutions and priority countries. 

Benefits

  • €160 per day for up to 12 days (includes arrival and departure days), delivered as a daily allowance.
  • Full travel support, depending on your country of origin.
  • Up to €500 for materials or expenses related to events you may organize or participate in (e.g., catering, seminars, outreach).
