Fully Funded Master’s Opportunity in Asia and the Pacific ADB–Japan Scholarship Program 2027
Each year around one hundred thirty five scholarships are awarded at twenty seven designated institutions across Asia and the Pacific including seventeen institutions in Japan Scholars are expected to return to their home countries after graduation and actively contribute to social and economic development

Full tuition fees covered for the entire duration of the program
Monthly subsistence allowance including housing support

Comprehensive medical insurance
Round trip airfare travel expenses
Additional academic support may include a special thesis preparation grant for research scholars
In special cases funding may also cover language training or preparatory courses
The scholarship does not cover expenses for dependents or extracurricular activities
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be citizens of borrowing member countries of the Asian Development Bank that are eligible for Japanese Official Development Assistance
Eligible countries include Afghanistan Bangladesh Bhutan Cambodia India Indonesia Kazakhstan Malaysia Maldives Mongolia Myanmar Nepal Pakistan Philippines Sri Lanka Thailand Timor Leste Uzbekistan Viet Nam and several Pacific Island nations
Applicants must have a strong academic background and demonstrate commitment to contributing to the development of their home country after completing their studies
