Research tenure ranges from three to twelve months between January and December 2025.

Who Is Eligible

Foreign nationals (non‑Taiwanese) who hold academic roles—such as professors, associate or assistant professors, postdoctoral researchers, doctoral students, or research fellows—are welcome to apply. Ineligible are those currently residing, conducting research, or studying in Taiwan.

What the Fellowship Covers

Fellows receive a generous monthly stipend: NT$60,000 (≈ US$1,850) for senior-level researchers and NT$50,000 (≈ US$1,540) for postdocs or doctoral students. A round-trip economy-class airfare subsidy up to NT$35,000 (≈ US$1,080) is included, alongside accident insurance (up to NT$1 million, including medical cover of NT$50,000 during your stay)

Why It Matters

This fellowship empowers international scholars to engage deeply with Taiwan-related research and policy issues, supports cross-cultural academic collaboration, and enhances visibility within Taiwan’s intellectual community. It strengthens global academic networks and nurtures experts in critical regional fields.
