Empowering Global Scholars to Reimagine the Politics of Knowledge
For the upcoming academic year, the program will explore the thought-provoking theme “The Politics of the Archive”, expanding critical conversations on colonialism, preservation, and knowledge production in the humanities and social sciences.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Princeton Fung Global Fellowship 2026–27, applicants must:
- Have earned a Ph.D. (or equivalent doctoral degree) after September 1, 2016
- Hold a faculty or professional research appointment at an institution outside the U.S. at the time of application
- Not be currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program or employed as a postdoctoral researcher
- Plan to return to their home institution after the fellowship year
- Demonstrate outstanding scholarly achievement and potential for impactful intellectual contributions

- All reference letters must be received before the application deadline.
- Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed.
- Selected candidates with faculty appointments must submit an official letter confirming approval to spend the fellowship year at Princeton.

Selection Process
Applications are reviewed by the Director of the Fung Global Fellows Program and a Princeton University selection committee based on:
