Program Structure

The STAR Scholarship program is designed as a four year academic pathway

The first year is a foundation year taking place between twenty twenty six and twenty twenty seven

This is followed by a three year bachelor’s degree program from twenty twenty seven to twenty thirty

During the foundation year students will complete six hundred hours of academic preparation

Two hundred forty hours of Italian language and culture

Two hundred eighty eight hours of subject specific academic lessons

Seventy two hours of additional Italian language training

These courses help students improve their academic skills and language abilities before starting their undergraduate studies in Italy

Some academic programs may require entrance examinations depending on the field of study

Conditions

Applicants must be international students from non EU countries

Candidates must be born in the year two thousand or later

Applicants must be first time applicants to an Italian university

Students must have completed at least twelve years of education

Applicants must hold a secondary school diploma that allows them to access university in their home country

Basic knowledge of the Italian language is required with at least level A one

Applicants must not already hold a bachelor’s degree

Students who have not yet completed their secondary school diploma may still apply if they graduate before ten July twenty twenty six

Full tuition fee waiver for the foundation year

Tuition fee exemption for the bachelor’s degree except for a small regional tax
