France Fully Funded Marianne Initiative 18 Week Fellowships 2026
Launched in twenty twenty one by the French government this prestigious programme is led by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and managed by the Association Marianne
It is an intensive non degree fellowship lasting eighteen weeks and takes place in Paris France offering participants a unique blend of professional training leadership development and international networking
Programme focus areas
The fellowship covers a wide range of critical topics including human rights and international law advocacy and public policy leadership and negotiation project management defender safety mechanisms civil liberties social justice as well as environmental and minority rights
These areas are designed to strengthen both practical skills and strategic understanding for human rights work
Eligibility criteria
This programme is open to international applicants from all over the world Candidates must be human rights defenders actively engaged in relevant work and applying from their home country or a third country
The fellowship is designed for individuals working under pressure who need both professional development and a supportive environment

Selected fellows will receive a fully funded stay in France including free accommodation and a monthly living stipend They will also benefit from a tailored training programme one on one mentorship and direct access to French and international institutions
